Services We Provide

Open Door is a Youth & Community Organisation, a Social Enterprise with its
main emphasis on the Black Minority Ethnic (BME) community.

Our target groups are:
       School drop-outs
Young People who have truanted or are at risk of truanting
       Young/single parents
       Offenders/ex-offenders
       Juvenile offenders
Young people facing Sexual health issues
NEET (Not in education, employment or training) young people

Our aim is to minimise the risk of BME young people dropping out of main stream education.  Without formal education and with nothing else to do, no
alternative support in which they can feel comfortable to relate pressing issues,
young people turn to a life of crime.  Our strategy is to work within multi-
disciplinary settings and create better outcomes for young people through help
with:
       Informal Education
       Training
       Mentoring
       Life skills
       Career guidance
       CV Support & Interview Guide
       Personal development
       Healthy Living Advice
       Money management
       Benefits advice
       Legal advice through qualified Barristers
       Vocational Skills guidance

Open Door aims to work with people as young as 14yrs old, in order to steer them away from crime and violence, prevent teenage pregnancy, set the stage
for effective learning and enhance their chances of employability and further
education.
